Description The UC Edge: University of California Recruitment Day is an all-day event for underrepresented undergraduates who are sophomores and juniors engaged in a faculty-mentored research program (i.e., CEA-CREST, MBRS-RISE, BRIDGES, MARC and McNair) as well as master’s students. Faculty, graduate students and staff from all ten UC campuses come to UCLA to meet with interested students of all disciplines about graduate opportunities within and applying to the ten UC campus system and about graduate opportunities therein. Conference Activities The panels and workshops provide students with the pertinent information and academic guidance — road maps — to refine their admissions portfolio: application to graduate school, statement of purpose, funding opportunities and networking skills. 2008 University of California Edge: Graduate Recruitment Day Agenda (PDF-38KB) Date The 2009 UC Edge Graduate Recruitment Day will be held February 13, 2009.
