NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION (NSF), GRADUATE RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS

Description   Approximately 2,000 three-year awards, for study leading to a master's or doctoral degree in the sciences (life, physical, social), mathematics, or engineering. Awards are tenable at U.S. universities.  
Award Amount   Stipends of $30,000 per year plus up to $12,000 institutional allowance for fees and tuition. 
Disciplines   Life Sciences. Physical Sciences. Social Sciences. School of Education and Information Studies. School of Engineering. Health Sciences. School of Public Health.  
Academic Level   Prospective/Current Graduate Student.  
Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.  
Requirements   BA degree earned prior to application deadline. Must not have completed more than 12 months of full-time graduate study or its equivalent by August 1, 2012.
