| Description | A number of awards are offered for dissertation and postdoctoral research in Turkey. Scholars can engage in research on ancient, medieval, or modern times in Turkey for periods between 4 months and 1 year. Residential, research and study facilities are available at ARIT's branches in Istanbul and Ankara. | |
| Award Amount | Awards range from $2500-$15,500. | |

| Academic Level | Working on Doctoral Dissertation. Postdoctoral Scholar. | |
| Citizenship | Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Also open to Canadian citizens. | |
| Requirements | Dissertation applicants must have fulfilled all the requirements for PhD except for the dissertation. Preference is given to projects of short duration. Postdoctoral applicants must have projects in the humanities. | |
