AMERICAN RESEARCH INSTITUTE IN TURKEY (ARIT), FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMS

Description   A number of awards are offered for dissertation and postdoctoral research in Turkey. Scholars can engage in research on ancient, medieval, or modern times in Turkey for periods between 4 months and 1 year. Residential, research and study facilities are available at ARIT's branches in Istanbul and Ankara. 
Award Amount   Awards range from $2500-$15,500. 
Disciplines   Humanities. Social Sciences.  
Academic Level   Working on Doctoral Dissertation. Postdoctoral Scholar.  
Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Also open to Canadian citizens. 
Requirements   Dissertation applicants must have fulfilled all the requirements for PhD except for the dissertation. Preference is given to projects of short duration. Postdoctoral applicants must have projects in the humanities.
