| Description | Six scholars will be awarded one of three types of fellowships that are offered to predoctoral and postdoctoral scholars to pursue research on human culture, behavior, history, or evolution at the School of American Research. Nine-month tenure is from September through May. | |
| Award Amount | Stipend of up to $40,000, an apartment and office, library assistance, and other benefits during a nine-month tenure are offered. | |
| Disciplines | Humanities. Social Sciences. School of Arts and Architecture. Specifically anthropology and related fields including: art, history, philosophy, and sociology. | |
| Academic Level | Working on Doctoral Dissertation. Postdoctoral Scholar. | |
| Citizenship | No citizenship requirements. | |
| Requirements | Preference is given to applicants whose fieldwork or basic research is complete and who need time to write manuscripts. Predoctoral candidates must be advanced to candidacy by December 1st. | |
