| Description | Approximately 200 awards will be offered to graduate students for a chance to experience firsthand Japanese, Korean, China, Australia, New Zealand and Taiwan research environments, learn about the science infrastructure, and receive intensive language training. Program lasts 8 weeks and students can select or be assigned to government, corporate, or university labs. | |
| Award Amount | Stipend of $5,000 plus board and travel. | |

| Academic Level | Prospective/Current Graduate Student. | |
| Citizenship | Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. | |
| Requirements | Must be enrolled in a PhD program, MD program, or MS program. Professional interests must be relevant to research done in the chosen location. Women, minorities, and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply. | |
