UNCF-MERCK POSTDOCTORAL SCIENCE RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS
Deadline   12/3/2012 
Description   At least 10 fellowships will be awarded to outstanding scholars to pursue postdoctoral training in the life or physical sciences for 12 to 24 months.  
Award Amount   Stipend up to $77,000 and a Research Grant up to $15,000 to support Fellow's research needs. 
Disciplines   Life Sciences. Physical Sciences. School of Engineering.  
Academic Level   Postdoctoral Scholar.  
Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.  
Requirements   Open to African American scholars with a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree recipient in a life or physical science by the end of academic year 2012-13 or appointed as a new or continuing postdoctoral fellow by the end of the 2013 calendar year at an academic or non-academic research institution in the USA (private industrial laboratories are excluded). This postdoctoral appointment must be for a minimum of 12 months
