NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION (NSF), ALAN T. WATERMAN AWARD

Description   An award is presented annually to an outstanding young researcher in any field of science or engineering supported by NSF. The award consists of a citation, medal, and grant. Candidates must be nominated. 
Award Amount   Grant of $1,000,000 over a 5 year period. 
Disciplines   Life Sciences. Physical Sciences. Social Sciences. School of Engineering. Health Sciences.  
Academic Level   Postdoctoral Scholar.  
Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.  
Requirements   Must be 35 years of age or younger and not more than 7 years beyond the receipt of the PhD. Candidates must demonstrate capability and exceptional promise for future achievement.
