NIH NATIONAL HEART, LUNG, AND BLOOD INSTITUTE (NHLBI), BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH TRAINING PROGRAM FOR INDIVIDUALS FROM UNDERREPRESENTED GROUPS

-Placements beginning in June or summer opportunities.
Description   Program offers graduate students training in fundamental biomedical sciences and clinical research, under the direction of leading NHLBI research investigators. The trainee's appointment is a one-time appointment of 6 (2 summers) to 24 months over a 2 year period beginning the summer of selection.  
Award Amount   Stipends of $27,200 to $30,400 per year, depending on academic standing and experience. 
Disciplines   Life Sciences. Physical Sciences. School of Engineering. Health Sciences.  
Academic Level   Prospective/Current Graduate Student.  
Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.  
Requirements   Open to juniors, seniors, and graduate students, enrolled full-time, with GPA's of 3.3 or better. Must have completed course work relevant biomedical, behavioral, or statistical research. Open to all students, but preference is given to underrepresented students.
