NATIONAL CENTER FOR ATMOSPHERIC RESEARCH (NCAR), HIGH ALTITUDE OBSERVATORY (HAO), POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP APPOINTMENTS


Deadline   1/4/2013 
Description   Postdoctoral Fellows are appointed for up to 2 years beginning in September or October; some flexibility is possible on the specific times of arrival and departure. Fellows develop research projects in collaboration with NCAR scientists, but all are expected to choose their own research directions and are responsible for the design and conduct of their own projects. 
Award Amount   Annual stipend $56,000 in the first year and $58,500 in the second. Travel budget up to $2,000. Up to $1.000 for relocation expenses for fellow and his/her family. 
Disciplines   Physical Sciences. Open to physics (experimental or theoretical), astronomy, and atmospheric sciences. 
Academic Level   Postdoctoral Scholar.  
Citizenship   No citizenship requirements.  
Requirements   Applicants should interact with an HAO scientist when formulating a research plan.
