| Description | For master's or doctoral students to carry out thesis research at the laboratory, under co-sponsorship of an Argonne staff member and a university professor. Appointments are for 1 year. | |
| Award Amount | Provides a stipend, tuition payment up to $5,000 per year, and certain travel expenses. | |
| Disciplines | Life Sciences. Physical Sciences. School of Engineering. Including mathematics, computer science, and other applied areas. | |
| Academic Level | Working on Master's Thesis. Working on Doctoral Dissertation. | |
| Citizenship | Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. | |
| Requirements | Open to full-time students at U.S. colleges or universities with all course work completed. Must have a GPA of at least 3.0. Interest in the area of research by an Argonne staff member is essential for successful application. Women and members of underrepresented minority groups are encouraged to apply. | |
