| Description | Program supports outstanding minority and women students who are pursuing doctoral degrees studies in computer and communications-related field. AFLP fellows are partnered with a technical staff member to serve as their mentor for the duration of the program. The program emphasizes personal interaction between the ALFP fellow and their mentor. For the typical recipient, this personal interaction with a mentor is often the most important component of the program | |
| Award Amount | Stipends of $2,380 per month and a $500 book allowance for fellowship recipients. $2,000 annual grant for recipients receiving other fellowship support. | |
