| Description | Each year the foundation awards two PhD dissertation fellowships to students who work in the areas of environmental public policy or environmental conflict resolution. Recipients must be in the final writing year of their PhD work and must submit a copy of their dissertation to the Udall foundation at the end of the award year. | |
| Award Amount | Stipends of up to $24,000. | |
| Disciplines | Social Sciences. School of Public Affairs. School of Public Health. Open to environmental public policy and conflict resolution related fields. | |
| Academic Level | Working on Doctoral Dissertation. | |
| Citizenship | Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Applicants from American Samoa may be a U.S. National. | |
| Requirements | Open to PhD students who have advanced to candidacy by the application date. Doctoral degree must be received by the end of the fellowship year. | |
