DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE (DOD), NATIONAL DEFENSE SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP

Description   Approximately 200 three-year fellowships, support graduate study leading to a doctoral degree in science and engineering disciplines of military importance. 
Award Amount   Stipend of $30,500 for the first year, $31,000 for the second year, and $31,500 for the third year in addition to full tuition and required fees(excluding room and board), and up to $1,000 per year for medical insurance. 
Disciplines   Life Sciences. Physical Sciences. School of Engineering. Health Sciences. School of Public Health. Aereonautical and Astronautical Engineering; Biosciences; Chemical Engineering; Chemistry; Civil Engineering; Cognitive, Neural and Behavioral Sciences; Computer and Computational Sciences; Electrical Engineering; Geosciences; Materials Science and Engineering; Mmathematics;, Mechanical Engineering; Naval Architercture and Ocean Engineering; Oceanography; Physics.  
Academic Level   Prospective/Current Graduate Student.  
Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens.  
Requirements   Fellows do not incur any military or other service obligation.
