GERMAN ACADEMIC EXCHANGE SERVICE (DAAD), GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDY/RESEARCH IN GERMANY

Description   Study Scholarships are awarded to highly qualified graduating seniors and graduate students to provide the opportunity to do independent study in Germany or to complete a full Master's degree program at a German university. 
Award Amount   Monthly stipend of approximately €750. In addition, DAAD will pay for health insurance and offer a flat rate subsidy for travel costs. 
Disciplines   Open to all fields. Except Fine Arts, Music, Dance & Architecture. For research in the fields of dentistry, medicine, pharmacy, or veterinary medicine, contact DAAD for special guidelines. 
Academic Level   Prospective/Current Graduate Student.  
Citizenship   Applicants should be US or Canadian citizens. Foreign nationals must have studied at an accredited US or Canadian university for at least two years by the time of application. 
Requirements   Graduate students should be enrolled full-time. Applicants must not be living in Germany for a period of more than one year. Applicants may not hold a DAAD grant and a grant from another German or German-American organization/German-Canadian organization concurrently for the same project. Prior recipients of a DAAD grant should contact DAAD New York before applying to determine their eligibility status. Complete applications (one original and 5 copies) must be submitted to 1252 Murphy Hall no later than October 14. There are no extensions to this deadline.
