GEOLOGICAL SOCIETY OF AMERICA, RESEARCH GRANTS PROGRAM


Deadline   2/1/2013 
Description   Grants provide partial support for a master's thesis or dissertation research in the geological sciences for graduate students enrolled in universities in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Central America. The Diversity in the Geosciences Committee offers two $500 research grants to qualified minority student. By indicating ethnicity (other than "White, not of Hispanic origin") on your application, you will automatically be considered for this grant. 
Award Amount   Average stipends of $1,828. 
Disciplines   Physical Sciences. Limited to geological sciences. 
Academic Level   Working on Master's Thesis. Working on Doctoral Dissertation.  
Citizenship   No citizenship requirements.  
Requirements   Eligibility restricted to GSA members. Postdoctoral research supported only under unusual circumstances. Women, minorities, and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
