| Description | To support biomedical scientists in early postdoctoral training for research in leprosy and/or tuberculosis. Awards for basic laboratory research directed at a better understanding of leprosy and its bacterial agent; it does not support treatment. Awards support two years of research. In 2013, the Heiser Program is only funding leprosy research and will not support postdoctoral fellowships in tuberculosis research. | |
