Description   Approximately 14 fellowships awarded to doctoral students for research on causes of international conflict and threat and opportunities for international cooperation. Fellowships are for 9 months and are not renewable. 
Award Amount   Stipend up to $18,000. 
Disciplines   Open to all fields. Themes of research: Nontraditional, Emerging, and Human Security, Terrorism, Biosecurity, Cyber-security, Regional and Major Power Relations, Energy and Environmental Security, Homeland Security, Defense, Nuclear Nonproliferation  
Academic Level   Working on Doctoral Dissertation.  
Citizenship   No citizenship requirements.  
Requirements   Doctoral students enrolled in the University of California, including J.D./PhD. and M.D. students, are eligible for the dissertation fellowship. Multidisciplinary approaches and policy-relevant work are encouraged.
