| Description | Approximately 300 awards are offered yearly for graduate students to study and conduct research in science, mathematics, and engineering fields relevant to NASA. Renewable for an additional 3 years. | |
| Award Amount | $20,000 stipend, $6,000 student allowance and a $3,000 university allowance. | |
| Disciplines | Life Sciences. Physical Sciences. School of Engineering. | |
| Academic Level | Prospective/Current Graduate Student. | |
| Citizenship | Open only to U.S. citizens. | |
| Requirements | Full-time graduate student, at any stage of studies, from accredited U.S. college or university. May not hold another federal fellowship or traineeship. Application must be sponsored by a graduate faculty advisor or department chair. Women, minorities and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply. | |
