| Description | Awards provide outstanding young Americans the opportunity to receive firsthand experience in the workings of the federal government at the highest levels. Up to 19 fellows spend 1 year working in a Cabinet level agency and participating in weekly seminars. | |
| Award Amount | Yearly salary paid uniformly at the federal pay grade GS-14, step 3. | |
| Disciplines | Open to all fields. | |
| Academic Level | Postdoctoral Scholar. | |
| Citizenship | Open only to U.S. citizens. | |
| Requirements | Applicants should be in the early and formative years of a career or profession. No basic education requirement. Cannot be a civilian employee of the federal government. | |
