JOHN E. FOGARTY INTERNATIONAL CENTER, INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH SCIENTIST DEVELOPMENT AWARD (IRSDA)


Deadline   3/1/2013 
Description   Approximately 17 awards are offered to U.S. postdoctoral biomedical, epidemiological/clinical and behavioral scientists who are committed to careers in international health research. The award is initially for a period of up to four years, and can be renewed for up to three additional years if certain requirements are met. Women, minorities, and individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply. 
Award Amount   Salary up to $75,000, applicable fringe benefits and up to $30,000 for travel and research development support. 
Disciplines   Life Sciences. Health Sciences. School of Public Health.  
Academic Level   Postdoctoral Scholar.  
Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Non-citizen nationals are also eligible. 
Requirements   Must hold doctoral, dental or medical degree or equivalent in a health science field earned within seven years of the application receipt date.
