| Description | About 5 fellowships are offered to provide advanced graduates with an opportunity for study and research in Germany. The expected outcome is the development of a dissertation proposal or the completion of a specific research topic. The fellowships will be granted for stays of between five and twelve months. | |
| Award Amount | Includes monthly stipends of EU 588 plus air fare, health insurance, and tuition. | |
| Disciplines | Social Sciences. Limited to economics, history, political science, and sociology. | |
| Academic Level | Prospective/Current Graduate Student. Working on Doctoral Dissertation. | |
| Citizenship | Open only to U.S. citizens. | |
| Requirements | Open to students in doctoral programs with 2 years of study completed. Should have sufficient knowledge of German. | |
