FRIEDRICH EBERT FOUNDATION, PRE-DISSERTATION/ADVANCED GRADUATE FELLOWSHIPS

Description   About 5 fellowships are offered to provide advanced graduates with an opportunity for study and research in Germany. The expected outcome is the development of a dissertation proposal or the completion of a specific research topic. The fellowships will be granted for stays of between five and twelve months.  
Award Amount   Includes monthly stipends of EU 588 plus air fare, health insurance, and tuition. 
Disciplines   Social Sciences. Limited to economics, history, political science, and sociology. 
Academic Level   Prospective/Current Graduate Student. Working on Doctoral Dissertation.  
Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens.  
Requirements   Open to students in doctoral programs with 2 years of study completed. Should have sufficient knowledge of German.
