SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION LIBRARIES, RESIDENT SCHOLAR PROGRAMS


Deadline   3/15/2013 
Description   Three different programs including 1) The Dibner Library of the History of Science and Technology Resident Scholar; to study science and technology through the use of materials in the Dibner Library 2) The Baird Society Resident Scholar; for individuals with a topic related to the holdings of SIL's special collection. Programs award short-term study grants for durations of one to six months. 
Award Amount   Includes stipends of $3,500 per month. 
Disciplines   Social Sciences. School of Arts and Architecture. Dibner Program: fields with an interest in the history of science and technology.  
Academic Level   Prospective/Current Graduate Student. Postdoctoral Scholar.  
Citizenship   No citizenship requirements.  
Requirements   Applicants whose native tongue is not English must demonstrate the ability to write and converse fluently in English.
