DR. NANCY FOSTER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Description		Approximately four awards for study leading to a master's or doctoral degree in oceanography, marine biology, or maritime archaeology. Students pursing a master's degree are supported for 2 years and those pursuing a doctoral degree are supported for 4 years.
Award Amount		Stipends of $30,000 per year plus up to $12,000 for tuition and up to $10,000 for a four to six week research collaboration at a NOAA facility.
Disciplines		Life Sciences. Social Sciences. Limited to oceanography, marine biology, and maritime archaeology.
Academic Level		Prospective/Current Graduate Student.
Citizenship		Open only to U.S. citizens.
Requirements		Must be accepted to an accredited institution in the U.S. and pursue study on a full-time basis. Women and minority students are particularly encouraged to apply.
