COUNCIL OF GRADUATE SCHOOLS/UNIVERSITY MICROFILMS INTERNATIONAL DISTINGUISHED DISSERTATION AWARD

-Campus Deadline. 7/22/2013 -National Deadline.
Description   Two awards and certificates of citation for dissertations that represent original work making significant contributions to the discipline. Must be nominated by UCLA. 
Award Amount   Honorariums of $2,000. Plus reasonable travel expenses to the annual meeting of the Council of Graduate Schools. 
Disciplines   Humanities. Life Sciences. Physical Sciences. Social Sciences. Fields of competition alternate yearly. Physical and social sciences (even years); biological sciences, life sciences, and humanities and fine arts (odd years). 
Academic Level   Working on Doctoral Dissertation.  
Citizenship   No citizenship requirements.  
Requirements   Doctoral degree awarded, or completion of all degree requirements, within the last two years.
