| Description | Approximately 30-35 awards for research in areas of the mathematical sciences, including applications to other disciplines. Awards provide 24 months of support, within a 48 month period. | |
| Award Amount | Total fellowship amount is $135,000. $10,000 research allowance is paid to the fellow. | |
| Disciplines | Physical Sciences. Specifically areas of the mathematical sciences. | |
| Academic Level | Postdoctoral Scholar. | |
| Citizenship | Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Native residents of a U.S. possession may also apply. | |
| Requirements | Applicants may not have held the doctoral degree more than 2 years and may not have previously received a Federal research grant. Application must be submitted electronically using NSF FastLane. | |
