| Description | Ten scholarships are awarded for a stay of one year in Germany for professional development, study, or research. | ||
| Award Amount | Monthly stipends range from 2150 to 2750 euros. Special allowances are available for visits by family members, travel expenses and German language instruction. | ||
| Disciplines | Open to all fields. | ||
| Academic Level | Prospective/Current Graduate Student. Working on Master's Thesis. Working on Doctoral Dissertation. Postdoctoral Scholar. | ||
| Citizenship | Open only to U.S. citizens. | ||
| Requirements | Applicants must have completed a bachelor's degree prior to commencement of the scholarship. Applicants are expected to have established contact with a mentor in Germany who agrees to provide professional and/or scholarly assistance. Before beginning the program scholars are expected to make an earnest effort to acquire German language skills. | ||
