AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF PHYSICS, AIP STATE DEPARTMENT FELLOWSHIP
Deadline   11/1/2012 
Description   One fellow selected to spend a year working in a bureau or office of the State Department. Requests to extend the term to a second year will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 
Award Amount   Stipend of $70,000 per year, plus allowances toward relocation, in-service travel to scientific meetings, and health insurance premiums. 
Disciplines   Physical Sciences. Physics or closely related field. 
Academic Level   Postdoctoral Scholar.  
Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens.  
Requirements   Must hold a PhD. In exceptional cases, the PhD requirement may be waived for applicants with equivalent research experience. Fellows are required to be U.S. citizens, and member of one or more AIP Member Societies at time of application.
