| Description | Two fellowships are funded at each the 28 National Estuarine Research Reserves every year. Awards support one year of research and are renewable for up to three years. | |

Specifically Nonpoint Source Pollution, Socioeconomic Research, Biodiversity, Earth Sciences, Geomorphology, Fluvial Geomorphology, Sediment Transport, Environmental Sciences, Ecology, Aquatic Biology, Estuarine Ecology, Ecosystems, Aquatic Ecosystems, Environmental Management, Environmental Pollution, and Environmental Monitoring. | |
| Academic Level | Prospective/Current Graduate Student. | |
| Citizenship | No citizenship requirements. | |
| Requirements | Students must be admitted to or enrolled in a full-time master's or doctoral program at U.S. accredited universities. Students should have completed the majority of their course work at the beginning of their fellowship and have an approved thesis research program. Minority students are encouraged to apply. | |
