| Description | Grants are awarded for up to two years to individuals who will conduct dissertation research on issues relevant to people with lung disease. | |
| Award Amount | Awards are up to $21,000 per year and cover stipend and research support. | |
| Disciplines | Life Sciences. Social Sciences. School of Nursing. Psychosocial, behavioral, health services, health policy, epidemiological, biostatistical and educational matters related to lung disease. | |
| Academic Level | Working on Doctoral Dissertation. | |
| Citizenship | U.S. citizens or residents. Also open to Canadian citizens or permanent residents. | |
| Requirements | Applicants must have an academic career focus. Individuals with an MD who wish to pursue a PhD are not eligible. | |
