AMERICAN STATISTICAL ASSOCIATION, ASA/NSF RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMS

Description   The American Statistical Association administers the ASA/NSF Research Fellowship Programs, with support from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and four federal statistical agencies: the US Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), and the Bureau of Economic Analysis. The general objective of the program is to foster collaborative and interdisciplinary activities that will stimulate the development of methodology and analytic research relevant to the sponsoring Federal agencies. The duration of the fellowships is up to a year depending on the center. Please consult the program for possible renewals to appointments.  
Award Amount   Stipends received by fellows will be commensurate with their qualifications and experience. 
Disciplines   Physical Sciences. Social Sciences. School of Public Affairs. Potential fields include, but are not limited to: statistical methodology and computing, economic measurement and research, quantitative methods and data, industrial organization, technological change, agriculture, urban, and regional economics, and imputation techniques. 
Academic Level   Prospective/Current Graduate Student.  
Citizenship    
Requirements   Applicants for fellowships should have academically recognized research records and considerable expertise in their areas of proposed research.
