WOODS HOLE OCEANOGRAPHIC INSTITUTION; POSTDOCTORAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Description   Eighteen-month Postdoctoral Scholar awards are offered annually to recipients of new or recent doctorates in the fields of chemistry, engineering, geology, geophysics, mathematics, meteorology, physics, and biology as well as oceanography. The awards are designed to further the education and training of the applicant with primary emphasis placed on the individual's research promise.  
Award Amount   Stipend of $57,000 for an eighteen-month appointment, plus relocation allowance. Health insurance offered and a limited amount of support is available for travel expenses, equipment, and supplies. 
Disciplines   Life Sciences. Physical Sciences. School of Engineering. Applied Ocean Physics & Engineering, Biology, Geology & Geophysics, Marine Chemistry & Geochemistry, Physical Oceanography  
Academic Level   Postdoctoral Scholar.  
Citizenship   No citizenship requirements.  
Requirements   Applicants must have received their doctoral degree within the past 2-3 years. Candidates must also have a command of the English language.
