AMERICAN PHILOSOPHICAL SOCIETY, FRANKLIN RESEARCH GRANTS

Deadline		10/1/2012 -for work in February through December. 12/3/12- for work in April through December
Description		Grants are offered to postdoctoral applicants to help meet the costs of travel to libraries and archives for research purposes, the purchase of microfilm, photocopies or equivalent research materials, the costs associated with fieldwork, or laboratory research expenses.
Award Amount		Grants up to $6,000.
Disciplines		Open to all fields.
Academic Level		Postdoctoral Scholar.
Citizenship		No citizenship requirements. U.S. citizens and residents may use award at home or abroad. Foreign Nationals must use award in the U.S.
Requirements		Applicants must have a doctorate or a published work of doctoral character and quality. Does not fund costs of attending conferences or the costs of publication.
