FOUNDATION FOR PSYCHOCULTURAL RESEARCH (FPR), POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS

  Deadline   9/30/2009 
- the FPR Fellowship Program is being restructured. No Letters of Intent will be accepted for September 2009.
  Description   Several one-year fellowships support interdisciplinary research projects related to neuroscience, culture, and psychiatry at UCLA. Research should relate to the FPR's current topical foci, which includes integrative research on neurobiology, culture, and mental illness. Fellows are also required to attend interdisciplinary seminars offered by the FPR-UCLA Center for Culture, Brain, and Development throughout their fellowship appointment. Fellowships are renewable for an additional year, based on the evaluation of the previous year's performance. 
  Award Amount   Stipend of $40,000 per year, health insurance, and a support allowance of $1,500 per year.  
  Disciplines   Life Sciences. Social Sciences. Health Sciences. Specifically fields related to neuroscience, neurobiology, culture, psychiatry, and psychology. 
  Academic Level   Postdoctoral Scholar.  
  Citizenship   No citizenship requirements.  
  Requirements   Applicants must hold a doctoral or MD degree and have two UCLA faculty sponsors from different disciplines.
