THE NORTH AMERICAN CONFERENCE ON BRITISH STUDIES (NACBS), NACBS DISSERTATION YEAR FELLOWSHIP


Deadline   3/15/2013 
Description   The fellowship supports dissertation research in the British Isles on any topic of British (including Scottish, Irish and Imperial) history or British studies. The awardee must conduct full-time research in the British Isles for a period of at least six months.  
Award Amount   Maximum stipend of $8,000 for recipient and $3,000 for runner-up. 
Disciplines   Social Sciences. Open primarily to the field of British history or studies. 
Academic Level   Working on Doctoral Dissertation.  
Citizenship   Open to U.S. or Canadian citizens. 
Requirements   Must be enrolled in a PhD program in a United States or Canadian institution. At time of application, must have completed all degree requirements except the dissertation. Must be nominated by a department advisor.
