PHI BETA KAPPA SOCIETY, WALTER J. JENSEN FELLOWSHIP FOR FRENCH LANGUAGE, LITERATURE, AND CULTURE

Description   The fellowship supports travel to France for at least six months of residence and study during the Fellowship year. The purpose of the award is to help educators and researchers improve education in standard French language, literature, and culture and in the study of standard French in the United States.  
Award Amount   A stipend of $10,000, plus single round-trip airfare and some additional support for those with dependents.  
Disciplines   Humanities. Includes French language, literature and culture. 
Academic Level   Prospective/Current Graduate Student.  
Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens.  
Requirements   Must be under the age of 40 and can demonstrate their career does or will involve active use of the French language. Must have a B.A. degree, a 3.0 minimum GPA in French language and literature, and demonstrate superior competence in French.
