| Description | The program provides research awards at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee for 2-12 months consecutively. ORNL conducts basic and applied research and development to create scientific knowledge and technological solutions that strengthen the nation's leadership in key areas of science; increase the availability of clean, abundant energy; restore and protect the environment; and contribute to national security. | ||
| Award Amount | Weekly stipend varies with academic level plus one round-trip travel reimbursement and housing allowance. | ||
| Disciplines | Physical Sciences. School of Engineering. School of Public Health. Including chemistry, environmental sciences, geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, chemical engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, computer sciences (technical database development). | ||
| Academic Level | Prospective/Current Graduate Student. Working on Master's Thesis. Working on Doctoral Dissertation. | ||
| Citizenship | Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. | ||
| Requirements | Must be at least 18 years old, currently enrolled in a master’s or Ph.D. program, and have a GPA of at least 3.0. | ||
