UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME, ERSKINE A. PETERS DISSERTATION YEAR FELLOWSHIP

  Deadline   11/30/2009 
  Description   Up to 5 dissertation fellowships are awarded annually to study at the University of Notre Dame. The fellowship enables outstanding African American doctoral candidates at the ABD level to devote their full energies to the completion of the dissertation. The program is committed to increasing public awareness about the issues related to both Africa and the African Diaspora. 
  Award Amount   A stipend of $30,000, plus a $2,000 research budget. 
  Disciplines   Humanities. Social Sciences. Including African and African-American studies, and theological disciplines. 
  Academic Level   Working on Doctoral Dissertation.  
  Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens.  
  Requirements   Must be a doctoral student at the ABD level. Applicants must be in residence at the university and devote most of their time to complete the dissertation. Open to only African Americans.
