NATIONAL HEMOPHILIA FOUNDATION (NHF), JUDITH GRAHAM POOL POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS


Deadline   11/23/2012 
- letter of intent deadline. 2/23/2013 - application deadline.
Description   Up to 2 fellowships are awarded per year for up to 2 years to support research in the development of better treatments, improved testing methods, and more accurate understanding of the genetics of hemophilia and other bleeding disorders.  
Award Amount   A stipend of up to $42,000 per year. 
Disciplines   Life Sciences. Social Sciences. Health Sciences. School of Public Health. Including clinical or basic research on the biochemical, genetic, hematologic, orthopedic, psychiatric or dental aspects of the hemophiliac or von Willebrand disease. Also other topics including rehabilitation, therapeutic modalities, psychosocial issues, women’s health issues, liver disease, or AIDS/HIV as they pertain to the hemophiliac or von Willebrand disease. 
Academic Level   Postdoctoral Scholar.  
Citizenship   No citizenship requirements.  
Requirements   Must have completed doctoral training and must enter the fellowship program from a doctoral, postdoctoral, internship or residency training program. Established investigators or faculty members are not eligible. Applicants must be affiliated with domestic organizations such as universities, colleges, hospitals and laboratories.
