LAWRENCE LIVERMORE NATIONAL LABORATORY; INTERNSHIPS IN TERASCALE SIMULATION TECHNOLOGY (ITST)

Applications received by January 31 will receive the fullest consideration for the summer.
Description   These internships are designed to prepare students for employment as computational scientists. This is done by providing hands-on experience using Massively-Parallel Processing (MPP) systems, mentoring from expert computational scientists, and giving specialized instruction in computational mathematics and scientific visualization techniques. Appointments can vary, but a minimum should be no less than 8 weeks and not more than 12 weeks. Summer terms run between mid May to mid September. 
Award Amount   Participants are paid at competitive rates. Travel expenses connected to the summer employment offer will be reimbursed.  
Disciplines   Physical Sciences. School of Engineering.  
Academic Level   Prospective/Current Graduate Student.  
Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens.  
Requirements   Applicant must have a GPA of 3.3 minimum within major and overall is required and preferred is 3.5+.
