UC INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH IN THE ARTS (UCIRA), MAJOR GRANTS PROGRAM


Deadline   2/15/2013 
Description   UCIRA seeks to support adventurous projects with the potential for significant artistic and cultural impact through work relating to the following categories on 1) performance practice and research, 2)literature, 3)emerging fields. UCIRA is particularly interested in projects that transcend boundaries, that are collaborative in nature, and that benefit two or more UC campuses.  
Award Amount   Award of up to $10,000 in addition to follow-up support for materials/equipment, travel to present finished work, and project expansion 
Disciplines   School of Arts and Architecture. School of Theater, Film, & TV.  
Academic Level   Prospective/Current Graduate Student. Working on Master's Thesis. Working on Doctoral Dissertation. Postdoctoral Scholar.  
Citizenship   No citizenship requirements.  
Requirements   Applicants must be UC arts faculty, staff, or current students. Projects generated by students, staff, and part-time faculty must have a full-time faculty sponsor. Previous recipients of a UCIRA award are NOT eligible to reapply for at least one year from the date of their most recent award. Applicants may not apply in more than one category or submit more than one proposal in any review cycle.
