COUNCIL ON SOCIAL WORK EDUCATION (CSWE), MINORITY FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM


Deadline   2/28/2013 
Description   Annual awards support research training in mental health for doctoral-level social work students intending to pursue NIMH–recognized research careers. The award is for one academic year, but support may be provided for up to 3 years. Renewal is contingent on the availability of funds to continue the program. 
Award Amount   Competitive stipends and benefits offere to all scholars. 
Disciplines   School of Public Affairs. Including social welfare. 
Academic Level   Prospective/Current Graduate Student.  
Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.  
Requirements   Must have a master's degree in social work and will begin full-time study leading to a doctoral degree in social work, or currently enrolled as a full time student in a doctoral social work program. Eligible applicants must be American Indian/Alaskan Native; Asian/Pacific Islander (e.g., Chinese, East Indian and other South Asians, Filipino, Hawaiian, Japanese, Korean, Samoan); Black; and Hispanic (e.g., Mexican/Chicano, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Central or South American).
