| Description | At least one fellowship is awarded yearly to a postdoctoral scholar engage in advanced research in any aspect of the history of aerospace from the earliest human interest in flight to the present. Fellowship term is 6 to 9 months and the fellow is required to be in residency at NASA headquarter or one of the NASA centers. | |
| Award Amount | A stipend of up to $20,000 depending on fellowship term. | |
| Disciplines | Social Sciences. School of Engineering. School of Management. School of Public Affairs. Including history, economic history, history of law and public policy, history of science, engineering, and management. | |
| Academic Level | Postdoctoral Scholar. | |
| Citizenship | Open only to U.S. citizens. | |
| Requirements | Must have a doctorate degree in history or in a closely related field, or be enrolled as a student (having completed all coursework) in a doctoral degree-granting program. A Fellow may not hold other major fellowships or grants during the fellowship term, except sabbatical and supplemental grants from their own institutions, and small grants from other sources for specific research expenses. | |
