SAMUEL GOLDWYN WRITING AWARDS COMPETITION FOR THEATER, FILM, AND TELEVISION

-Scripts are accepted from 4/2/2013 to 6/4/2013.
Description   The Samuel Goldwyn Writing Awards Competition offers awards to all regularly enrolled students at any University of California campus. A panel of industry professional will review the submissions, and final judging will be done by a panel composed of prominent industry figures. Only full-length dramatic writing in script form is eligible-equivalent of a three-act stage play, feature length screenplay, or a one hour (minimum) teleplay.  
Award Amount   First Place: $15,000, Second Place: $7,500, Third Place: $4,000, Honorable Mention: $2,000 and $1,000.  
Disciplines   School of Theater, Film, & TV.  
Academic Level   Prospective/Current Graduate Student.  
Citizenship    
Requirements   The author(s) must be regularly enrolled student(s) (undergraduate or graduate) at any University of California campus during the entire academic year. University Extension students or students on leave of absence are not eligible. The following submissions are not eligible: adaptations; works submitted, in any form, to this competition in previous years; works commercially produced or under contract for commercial production; works based on existing or continuing series, films or properties.
