| Description | Approximately 25 short- and long-term fellowships awarded to scholars to pursue research at the John Carter Brown Library located on the campus of Brown University. Short-term fellowships are for periods of two to four months and long-term fellowships are for five to ten months. | |
| Award Amount | Stipend of $2,100 per month for short-term and $4,200 per month for long-term fellowships. | |
| Disciplines | Social Sciences. Exclusively colonial history of the Americas (North and South), including all aspects of the European, African, and Native involvement. | |
| Academic Level | Postdoctoral Scholar. | |
| Citizenship | No citizenship requirements. | |
| Requirements | Predoctoral applicants must have passed preliminary or general examinations at the time of application. | |
