JOHN CARTER BROWN LIBRARY RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS


Deadline   12/15/2012 
Description   Approximately 25 short- and long-term fellowships awarded to scholars to pursue research at the John Carter Brown Library located on the campus of Brown University. Short-term fellowships are for periods of two to four months and long-term fellowships are for five to ten months. 
Award Amount   Stipend of $2,100 per month for short-term and $4,200 per month for long-term fellowships. 
Disciplines   Social Sciences. Exclusively colonial history of the Americas (North and South), including all aspects of the European, African, and Native involvement. 
Academic Level   Postdoctoral Scholar.  
Citizenship   No citizenship requirements.  
Requirements   Predoctoral applicants must have passed preliminary or general examinations at the time of application.
