SMITHSONIAN AMERICAN ART MUSEUM AND ITS RENWICK GALLERY (SAAM), FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITIES IN AMERICAN ART

Description   Several fellowships offered for predoctoral, dissertation, and postdoctoral research the art and visual culture of the United States. Fellowships are residential and have durations of 3 months to 1 year. Fellowship programs include: The Douglas Foundation Fellowship in American Art, the Patricia and Phillip Frost Fellowship, the James Renwick Fellowship in American Craft, the Sara Roby Fellowship in Twentieth-Century American Realism, the Jushua C. Taylor Fellowship, and The Terra Foundation for American Art Fellowships.  
Award Amount   Stipend of $30,000 for predoctoral fellows and $45,000 for senior or postdoctoral fellows. All fellows receive research and travel allowances. 
Disciplines   Humanities. School of Arts and Architecture.  
Academic Level   Prospective/Current Graduate Student. Working on Doctoral Dissertation. Postdoctoral Scholar.  
Citizenship   No citizenship requirements.  
Requirements   Project must be compatible with the museum's collections, staff, and program.
