NATIONAL COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (NCAA), WALTER BYERS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Deadline   1/27/2013 
Description   Two fellowships offered to one male and one female to encourage and recognize outstanding academic performance by student-athletes and their potential for success in graduate study. Award renewable for a second year. 
Award Amount   Stipend of $24,000 per academic year. 
Disciplines   Open to all fields.  
Academic Level   Prospective/Current Graduate Student.  
Citizenship   No citizenship requirements.  
Requirements   Must have competed in intercollegiate athletics as a member of a team at an NCAA member institution, have a gpa of 3.5 or better, and enroll in a graduate program within five years of being named a recipient.
