AMERICAN INSTITUTE FOR SRI LANKAN STUDIES (AISLS) FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

Description   Fellowships are offered to support 2-9 months of research in Sri Lanka. Fellowship is for scholars with little or no experience as well as specialists. Scholars should have an established interest in Sri Lanka and show that their research will contribute to the understanding of historical or contemporary connections with other parts of the world. 
Award Amount   Stipend of $3,200 per month, reimbursement for airfare up to $2,000. 
Disciplines   Humanities. Social Sciences.  
Academic Level   Postdoctoral Scholar.  
Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens.  
Requirements   Applicants must have PhD or equivalent academic degree or show that they will hold such a degree before taking up the fellowship. Also, cannot have been awarded an AISLS fellowship for more than 10 months over any three consecutive competitions.
