ANDREW W. MELLON FOUNDATION/ACLS DISSERTATION COMPLETION FELLOWSHIPS

Deadline   10/24/2012 
Description   Up to 65 fellowships awarded to assist students, in the humanities and related social science fields, in their last year of PhD dissertation writing. Award support is for one year. 
Award Amount   Stipend amount up to $33,000 with $25,000 plus funds for research costs of up to $3,000 and for university fees of up to $5,000. 
Disciplines   Humanities. Social Sciences.  
Academic Level   Working on Doctoral Dissertation.  
Citizenship   No citizenship requirements.  
Requirements   Applicant must be a PhD candidate in at a University in the United States. All requirements for the PhD, except the dissertation, must be completed before beginning fellowship tenure. Applicant can hold this Fellowship no later than their seventh year in a PhD program.
