NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION (NSF) EARTH SCIENCES POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP

Description   The Division of Earth Sciences awards 10 postdoctoral fellowships to scientists in early stages of their careers. The award is intended to carry out an integrated program of independent research and education relating to the structure, composition and evolution of the earth's biosphere, atmosphere, and hydrosphere. The program supports researchers for a period of up to 2 years with fellowships that can be taken to the institution or national facility of their choice.  
Award Amount   Fellows receive an annual stipend of $58,000 plus an allowance of $27,000 per year.  
Disciplines   Physical Sciences. School of Engineering.  
Academic Level   Postdoctoral Scholar.  
Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.  
Requirements   Applicant must be a current graduate or have held a PhD degree in a scientific or engineering field for no more than 3 years prior to the award date.
