| Description | Provides on-the-job training experience in applied epidemiology for recent graduates and prepares Fellows for long-term career placement at the state and local level. Fellows are matched to a state or local health agency or federal quarantine station for two years under guidance of an experienced mentor. | |
| Award Amount | Fellows with an MPH degree or equivalent receive stipend of up to $41,000 annually. Fellows with doctoral degree receive up to $56,000 annually. Up to $3,200 for health insurance. Up to $1,000 for moving/relocation. $970 for professional development | |
| Disciplines | Life Sciences. Health Sciences. School of Public Health. Infectious disease, injury, maternal and child health, environmental health, chronic disease, substance abuse, and occupational health. | |
| Academic Level | Postdoctoral Scholar. | |
| Citizenship | Open only to U.S. citizens. | |
| Requirements | Must have an MPH, MS or an equivalent or advanced level degree in a health related field. Must have completed at least three graduate level epidemiology courses and one graduate level biostatistics course. | |
