COUNCIL OF STATE AND TERRITORIAL EPIDEMIOLOGISTS (CSTE), APPLIED EPIDEMIOLOGY FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM


Deadline   2/1/2013 
Description   Provides on-the-job training experience in applied epidemiology for recent graduates and prepares Fellows for long-term career placement at the state and local level. Fellows are matched to a state or local health agency or federal quarantine station for two years under guidance of an experienced mentor.  
Award Amount   Fellows with an MPH degree or equivalent receive stipend of up to $41,000 annually. Fellows with doctoral degree receive up to $56,000 annually. Up to $3,200 for health insurance. Up to $1,000 for moving/relocation. $970 for professional development  
Disciplines   Life Sciences. Health Sciences. School of Public Health. Infectious disease, injury, maternal and child health, environmental health, chronic disease, substance abuse, and occupational health.  
Academic Level   Postdoctoral Scholar.  
Citizenship   Open only to U.S. citizens.  
Requirements   Must have an MPH, MS or an equivalent or advanced level degree in a health related field. Must have completed at least three graduate level epidemiology courses and one graduate level biostatistics course.
